Due to guidelines and mandates within St. Louis County, we have certain precautions in place involing a series of health requirements we are asking everyone to undertake. This is Phase 2 of this process and we are going to move slowly and with excessive precautions to start. That will change over time but your support helps us determine how to evolve these precautions.
Before Coming to Church
Are you feeling unwell? Are you currently suffering from any COVID-19 related symptoms such as fever, sore throat, loss of smell and taste? Have you been around someone who is thought to have COVID-19 or is awaiting test results? If you answer yes to any of these questions, It is best to stay home and try again a different week once it is safe.
Have you traveled out of the country in the last month? If yes, make sure to check whether or not the country you visited is listed as a country that requires quarentine for 14 days upon return.
When you arrive at Immanuel:
Park with an open space on each side of your vehicle
Everyone should put their mask on (unless you are 2 or younger)
An Elder will greet you at the outer door to the atrium.
The Elder will check you off the attendee list*, do a quick non-contact temperature scan, and send you on your way to the Worship Serivice.
Proceed upstairs, keep 6 ft social distancing and help yourself to hand sanitizer if needed.
Someone will be waiting to greet you upstairs and hand you the worship bulletin and announcements.
An Usher will then escort your family to your assigned seats. We know it may not be your regular pew but this helps us adhere to social distancing and seating capacity regulations from the county.
*Only people on the list will be allowed entry as seating is assigned based on reservations for Phase 2. Reserve your seats by clicking here!
**If anyone in your group shows a temp of 100.4 or higher, we will ask the entire group to worship remotely and not enter the building.
Receive the wonderful gift of God's Grace in His Word and Sacrament, singng the hymns, and enjoying the sermon.
The only thing we ask is do it with your mask on.
Ushers will direct individuals to proceed forward for communion. One pew at a time from each side will progress forward. Please give individuals adequate time and space to move into place in front, maintaining six feet of distance at all times. Please stand for communion. We have removed the communion rail, to keep touch points to a minimum.
When finished at the front, proceed to the side aisle for your pew, drop off your disposable cup in the normal location and return to your seat. Following the full completion of communion, the Pastor will lead all in a blessing before dismissing.
After the service
After worship you will be dismissed by pew, back to front, non-pulpit side then pulpit side. Use the side exits back to the Outer Narthex and then proceed downstairs.
On your way back downstairs you will find the offering plate. Please drop off your offering then. No need to complete an attendance card, our list tells us who was present. Use hand sanitizer on your way out, if you wish.
Exit the building out the same doors you entered. The doors will be automatically held open so a no-contact departure is requested.
